We’ve been busy all year, working away on a huge range of thought provoking programmes - but this one has really got us all talking.

Edited by Arteus’ own post-production editor Val Douglas and directed by Caroline Allward – Pregnant and Platonic - from Finestripe Productions, is a documentary looking at the growing phenomenon of co-parenting. This is where women and men have a baby together, without being in a romantic relationship. Contributor Saschan, a single 26-year-old who is attempting to find someone to have and raise a child with her, describes it as “like being on Tinder but 100 times more awkward”

Narrated by Clara Amfo, we meet the co-parents. Many are friends, while others meet through coparenting websites. They all have one thing in common: a very strong desire to have a child of their own. The Guardian described the programme perfectly as “a gentle documentary about a matchmaking service for wannabe co-parents”

As usual our amazing finishing team have made sure everything looks and sounds glorious. Ian Ballantyne and Graham Struthers have taken care of business on the grades and onlines, while the stunning sound design is down to John Cobban.

With Finestripe Productions, head of production Dee Edmonds and executive producer Katie Lander keeping us in check and guiding the production and post production all the way, it is no surprise that Twitter was all over this one.
